Admission Policy
Legacy will begin accepting new student applications on March 1, 2008 for the upcoming school year. We will be offering kindergarten (half day) through 5th grade. Families seeking enrollment are evaluated on application questions, parental interview, child readiness testing, and report cards.Children must be 5 years of age by September 1st to apply for kindergarten. The first quarter is considered a trial period for all new students. We require that at least one parent or guardian of each applicant profess to have a personal relationship with Christ as Lord and Saviour of their life.
ADMISSION PROCESS
1. READ: It is very important that you read about classical Christian education if you do not already have a good understanding of the Trivium and this type of education. There are links on the 'Resources' page of our website. Prior to filling out an application, please read Legacy's Statement of Faith, Vision and Core Values to make sure you are in agreement with these.
2. APPLICATION AND SIGNED STATEMENT OF FAITH:
The completed and signed Student Application, Statement of Faith, and Parent Covenant can either be mailed to the school or dropped off at the Desert Springs Bible Church office along with the $75 non-refundable application fee. A signed Statement of Faith and Parent Covenant must be turned in with your student application. You may print a copy of this from our website.
3. PARENT INTERVIEW AND READINESS TEST: Once we receive your application and signed Statement of Faith, we will call you to schedule a parent interview and child readiness test. The interview will be conducted to answer any questions you may have regarding classical Christian education, and to confirm that we are in agreement on the spiritual teachings we will be providing to your child. While the parent interview is taking place, a readiness test will be given to the child. Both parents (or guardians) are required to be present for the parent interview.
4. LETTER OF ACCEPTANCE OR DENIAL After the parent interview and the child readiness tests are completed, a decision will be made to either accept or decline the applicant into Legacy and a letter sent accordingly. Letters of Denial will explain why we feel this school is not a good fit for your child/family.
5. REGISTRATION: If accepted, the non-refundable registration fee of $250 is due by March 31st.
Late Registration: The non-refundable registration fee is $300 for those registering after March 31, 2008 for the 2008/2009 school year.
After registering we will send you a welcome packet with uniform information and forms for you to fill out. We are required by law to obtain from you a copy of your child's birth certificate and immunization history for our records.
6. TUITION: The tuition for 2008/09 is $4,800 for 1st through 5th grade and $4,500 for kindergarten. It can be either pre-paid before the first day of school, or in ten monthly installments ($480 x 10 months/$450 x 10) with the first installment due September 1st, 2008 and each subsequent payment due the first of each month through June 2008.
Sibling Discounts: Legacy offers a discount for families when enrolling more than one child in our school. The first child enrolled will pay the regular tuition amount until the second child attends Legacy. At that point, both children and each subsequent child enrolled will receive a 10% discount on tuition.
A 30 day written notice is due if withdrawing your student from the school mid-year. No refunds will be given for tuition paid.

NOTICE OF NONDISCRIMINATORY POLICY AS TO STUDENTS
The Legacy Classical Christian Academy admits students of any race, color, national and ethnic origin to all the rights, privileges, programs, and activities generally accorded or made available to students at the school. It does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national and ethnic origin in administration of its educational polices, admissions policies, scholarship and loan programs, and athletic and other school-administered programs.
2008/0009 Tuition and Fees Summary:
Application Fee: non-refundable $75 for all new students
New student Registration Fee: non-refundable $250 if paid by March 31: $300 thereafter.
Sibling Registration Fee: non-refundable $250 if paid by February 29th; $300 thereafter.
Re-enrollment Fee for Returning Students: non-refundable $175 by February 29, 2008 or $300 thereafter. Please submit your re-enrollment form along with the fee!
Tuition: $4,800 for 1st through 5th grade, and $4,500 for kindergarten
Late Payments: Tuition received after the 10th of the month will be billed a $10 late fee charge. Tuition received after the 20th of the month will be billed a $20 late fee charge.
Sibling Discount: 10% per student once the second child is enrolled.
