Scholarships

AZ Tax Credit Scholarships The Arizona Private School Tuition Tax Credit Law, A. R. S. Section 43-1089, allows a married couple filing jointly to give up to $1000 per year to any State Tuition Organization and receive a dollar-for-dollar tax credit against the taxpayer's Arizona state income tax. A single taxpayer is limited to $500. If the taxpayer has actual Arizona state income tax less than the maximum allowable, the   available credit in a given year is limited   to the actual tax. The law allows a carry forward for up to five years if a donation is made in excess of the actual state income tax due. Arizona State income tax forms 301 and 323 are used for claiming the credit. A taxpayer may also be able to claim a federal deduction for the donation. The taxpayer should consult their tax advisor for specific tax advice. AZTO allows you to recommend a specific child (other than your own) or specific school as the recommended beneficiary of your donation. However, their selection committee retains discretion as to awards. Additional information and applications are available on their website. Arizona Tuition Organization (AZTO) The AZTO also provides tuition  assistance through grants that are given to a specific child or school that the Donor recommends. The AZTO passes 93% of donated money to the child or school and keeps 7% for administrative costs. Money donated to a specific child through the AZTO is distributed on a monthly basis. The AZTO  is a tax exempt 501 (c) (3) organization.

Classical Christian Scholarship Fund This is a State Tax Organization like AZTO  only it specializes in classical, Christian schools. Needs Scholarships Legacy Classical Christian Academy will be creating need based scholarships as funds become available.
